FAQ
The shoes
What makes Kindfeet different from regular shoes?
It comes down to three things, and they're all about shape. The toe box is wide and truly foot-shaped, so your toes can sit and spread exactly as they would barefoot. The sole is flat from heel to toe, with nothing under the heel tipping you forward. And the whole shoe is light and flexible, so your foot does the moving, not the shoe. That's the whole story. No clever technology, no miracle materials. Just the shape your feet were always meant to be in.
What does "zero-drop" mean?
Zero-Drop means your heel and forefoot sit at exactly the same height, just like when you stand barefoot on the floor. Most conventional shoes lift the heel above the toes, and that includes the casual ones you'd never think of as having a heel. Ours don't.
Will they feel different to my usual shoes?
Yes, and that's rather the point. Expect more room across the front, more ground underfoot, and less shoe overall. Most people describe the first wear as odd for a minute, then obvious. Give your feet a couple of weeks to make friends with them.
I've never worn barefoot-style shoes. Do I need to do anything special?
Just ease in. Start indoors and make sure the size is right before you take them outside, since returns need the soles unmarked. Once you know they're keepers, build up gradually: short walks first, then let comfort set the pace. A little calf awareness early on is normal as your feet adjust to doing more of the work. If you have specific concerns about your feet or your health, check with your health professional first. We're shoemakers, not doctors, and we're quite happy knowing the difference.
I wear orthotics. Will they fit?
We'd rather not guess on this one, because it really does depend on your orthotic. Email us at info@kindfeet.com.au and we'll give you a straight answer for your situation before you order.
Sizing
How do I pick my size?
Measure your feet (heel to longest toe, in centimetres, at 4pm or later when feet are largest) and match against the chart on the product page. Full instructions live on our Size & Care Guide.
I'm between sizes — up or down?
Up. Always up. Feet swell through the day and toes want room. If it turns out too big, the exchange is free under the 30-Day Fit Promise.
Ordering & delivery
How long does delivery take?
1–2 business days to process, then 3–6 business days to your door, anywhere in Australia.
Where are the shoes made?
They're made by our manufacturing partner overseas and shipped directly to your door, with no warehouses or middlemen in between. It's part of how we keep the price fair, and it's also why delivery takes days rather than hours. We'll always be upfront about that.
Do you ship outside Australia?
Not yet — Australia only for now, including PO boxes and parcel lockers.
Can I mix models and colours in a bundle?
Yes, any combination you like. Two of the same shoe in different colours, or two different models entirely. The bundle price stays the same either way.
I just placed an order and want to add another pair. Is it too late?
Probably not. If your order hasn't been packed yet, we can usually add to it so everything arrives together. Email info@kindfeet.com.au as soon as you can with your order number.
Returns & support
What if they don't fit?
if the size is wrong, we'll exchange them for free and cover the return postage. Full details are on the Return Policy page.
What if something's wrong with them?
Email us a photo. If a pair arrives faulty, incorrect, or not as described, we replace or refund under the Australian Consumer Law without you posting anything back.
